LD Arabians receives "Breeder of the Year" Award from Arabians LTD for their incredible 2007 foal crop!!

What an honor to be chosen for this award from the entire client list of Arabians LTD!!   Shawn Crews came in person to our farm to see the foals, and she was amazed at the incredible quality of the herd we have on our little farm.

LD Arabians barn expansion is complete as of February 2008!  The barn now includes 10 stalls, an office/kitchenette, restroom, AI area, hay storage, tack room, feed room, drive-thru capability, and such a lovely patio where we can sit and overlook our pastures.  Such a beautiful view from the patio of our mares and the foals playing with each other.  It's a wonderful place to sit and enjoy life as we've always dreamed it could be!  
Gail Keegan of GB Arabians and Claire Moore of Emancy Arabians (both from the UK) came for a visit to LD Arabians in May of 2008.  They also visited a few other Texas breeders while in the country and will be submitting an article in the July issue of The Arabian Magazine to document their trip to these farms.  Shown here in the picture is Louise DeRusseau, Gail Keegan and Claire Moore after a very HOT HOT photo shoot of all the LD Arabians horses - did I mention it was a record HOT day?!  

Kamar Magidaa LDA, handled by Austin Boggs, took 4th place out of a large EBC class at the 2008 Egyptian Event!  One of the judges had even placed her 1st!!  We congratulate Kamar and her new owner, Dr. Dennis and Roxanne Parks of ISIS Arabians in McGregor, TX.   Kamar is currently back in the show barn at Arabians LTD awaiting her next show appearance.

Louise wins first place in the practice show judged by Greg Knowles at the Arabians LTD Show Training Seminar in September 2008!
Kamar Magidaa LDA attended the 2009 Glen Rose Shootout in November 2009 and received the titles of Reserve Champion Junior Filly, Reserve Champion Mare and Reserve Champion AOTH Mare!  Kamar is now a two year old and will start her breeding career next year for her new owner, Roxanne Parks of ISIS Arabians in Waco, Texas.   I was there to cheer her on and am so proud of her accomplishments! 
Dan & Louise celebrate the sale of Noor Magidaa LDA to Greg Knowles at the Arabians LTD Client Seminar in April 2010.  Greg is very excited on the purchase of his very first Straight Egyptian Arabian and is looking forward to showing her at the 2010 Egyptian Event!  And, of course, we will also be there to cheer them on!   This year's Egyptian Event will be a very exciting one for us because we will also be watching another LD Arabians bred filly, Amal Magidaa LDA, at this year's show!  
Noor Magidaa LDA took First Place in her Futurity Finals Straight Egyptian 2 Year Old Fillies class at the 2010 Egyptian Event out of 18 horses!  We couldn't be prouder of our Magidaa girls!!  Shown by and special thanks to Frank Spoenle and Greg Knowles!

Amal Magidaa LDA won FIRST PLACE in her Extended Specialty 3 Year Old Mares at the 2010 Egyptian Event out of 14 horses!  We couldn't be prouder of our Magidaa girls!!!  They BOTH won their class!!  What a show!  Shown by and special thanks to Greg Knowles!  Also special thanks to her owners - Biff, Ciel, Amberle and Courtney Pope!
Noor Magidaa LDA has new home - she sold to Nayla Hayek of Hannaya Arabian Stud in Switzerland while at the Egyptian Event!  Noor will first be shipped to Germany to Frank Spoenle's Training Center to be shown with Frank before going to her home in Switzerland!  We wish her all the best!  Special thanks to Greg Knowles, Frank Spoenle and Shawn Crews!!
